The Week Ahead: April 28th

Greetings!

On April 30th freshmen students from Northeast Wyoming will be attending the “307 Teen Challenge” in Newcastle.  This is held locally from 9:00 to 2:30 and lunch is provided for all 9th grade students that day.  This program brings together several local and district area resources and volunteers to educate students about challenging teenage issues and choices.  Several learning stations offer hands-on activities to educate students of consequences of wrong choices dealing with drugs and alcohol, drunken driving, social media and internet safety, teen violence, bullying, human trafficking, and suicide.  Law enforcement officers from the state, local, and county levels will be on hand as group leaders and volunteers, and we all work as a team to promote safety and help prevent destructive choices and behaviors among our youth. 9th Grade students will be dismissed at 8:30 to the Commons Area to be divided into groups.  At the conclusion of the program at 2:30, students will return to class.

WYTOPP testing has concluded for most of our students, and we will just be having the students who were gone on testing days make them up in an appropriate time in their schedule this week before the testing window closes.  We are so grateful for the efforts put in by our students to show what they know!
