The Week Ahead: January 13th

 

            Students are back in our hallways, and we are excited to work with them over the course of this second semester!  EWC Registration will be next week, so please pay attention to your grade level if you’re interested in signing up for college credit courses.  The last day to drop/add courses will be Friday.  NET Lunch is back in business for those who need extra time to complete schoolwork in a quiet place on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. 

            SENIORS!  Your pictures are due for the class composite on February 1st to Mrs. Branscom in the office.  If you have your photos taken later than that date, stop by the office to come up with a plan for submission with Mrs. Branscom.  Senior slide show pictures are due to Mrs. Engle by February 1st.  Graduation day will be here before we know it!  Ask questions if you have them! 

 

Two other important items: PowerSchool, the student information system for our district, notified us yesterday of a data breach involving their company. The attached letter from Superintendent LaCroix explains further, but thankfully at this time it doesn’t appear that WCSD #1 was directly impacted. Please reach out with questions. Additionally, the WCSD #1 Board of Trustees announced during Wednesday’s Board meeting that they intend to host two community meetings to discuss the possibility of adopting a four-day week alternative calendar next year.
